 Picture Jaspers
Picture Jasper are the most phenomenal stones I have ever seen.  The stones diplay incredible scenic views that are completely natural - formed only by the Creator's Hand Himself.  It is when I see a stone like this that I remember why I began this "hobby turned business" 7 years ago!  These stones are taken from God's green earth and offer us incredible pictures that are awe-inspiring!
Cripple Creek Picture Jasper
The classic beauty of this picture jasper is unmatched in its incredible lines and colors.  Directly from the hand of God to your heart..

Origin: Owyhee Mountains of Eastern Oregon

Size 2  1/2"  X  2  1/2 "

$250

Only one of the many Picture Jaspers I obtained in Tucson - this is an exquisite speciman of Wildhorse Picture Jasper. Wildhorse Picture Jasper is from the Owyhee Mountains in Southeastern Oregon and was first found in the 1960's. It was named after the bands of wild horses that roamed the area.
I obtained this incredible stone directly from the mine owner himself - and his Dad was the guy that discovered the stone in the 60's!  Believe me - this one is absolutely perfect in every way!
Size 2  1/4"  X  2  1/2"

 Butterfly Wing Picture Jasper
A brecciated jasper from Mexico, this is a colorful stone of various shades of maroon and grays and in this stone - a patch of golden yellow!   Always a winner!

 Ammolite
Ammolites are formed from the ancient Ammonite Fossil.  Over thousands (perhaps millions) of years, Mother Nature transforms Ammonites into a rare gem layer - which receives the name Ammolite.  Ammolite is the last precious gem to be discovered this century, in 1981.  Ammolite was granted official gemstone status in 1981 by the International Commission of Colored Gemstones.  The Korite Ammolite mine, located in Alberta, Canada, just north of the Montana border, is the only commercial Ammolite mine in the world.  According to experts, the supply of Ammolite could be exhausted within the next 15-20 years.  Ammolite is even more rare than Tanzanite, having increased 250%  in value over the past decade. Ammolites display an incredible brilliance of colors, which add to the beauty and desirability of the gem.  I will be offering Ammolite as long as I can find quality gems to bring to you.

Ammolite
Origin:  Korite Ammolite Mine in Alberta Canada

The desirable color of blue is evident in this  34 carat stone.  Also boasts reds and greens.  Ammolites which display 3 colors are most rare.

 Matrix Opal
Matrix Opal is found in Koroit, Australia.  It is so named because genuine opal becomes enmeshed within boulders of ironstone - creating such patterns and mazes that it is impossible to separate the opal from the ironstone.  This combination of the opal and ironstone create amazing patterns and one of a kind stones - which results in the most uniquely treasured pieces of jewelry.
Matrix Opal

Lovely patterning of opal in this tear drop shaped beauty.

 Victoria Stone
For those who know me - you know my goal is to outfit every woman with her own Victoria Stone every chance I get.  That is because this is not only a beautiful stone - the story behind it is compelling and mysterious!  Here's the story -

Victoria Stone is an infinitely precious gemstone (which is also known as Iimori Stone). This stone is a masterpiece of prismatic play of light and chatoyancy and comes in several colors like glacial grey, sky blue, lilac rose, electric green and ebony black-just to name a few.

In the mid to late 1960's a Japanese scientist, Dr. S. Iimori devoted himself to the creation of gemstones. Although he worked on several types (Meta Jade, Maple Stone, Halo Stone, Meta Amethyst), Victoria Stone was his piece de resistance and a crowning worldwide commercial success.   Victoria Stone was made of natural raw minerals (quartz, feldspar, magnesite, calcite, fluospar, etc). Those minerals were fused together by heating them to intensely high temperatures to form a molten magma (he actually melted the rocks!); they were 'mineralized' to a new mineral by adding special crystallizers to the molten rock. This magma was then poured into boules and placed under 2000 pounds of pressure; the cooling process was in an extremely controlled environment (taking months to cool); during this time the phenomenal chatoyant crystals were formed.  For this reason, Victoria stone is not considered a synthetic or simulated gemstone but is referred to in the gemological world as a reconstructed natural gemstone.

Production of Victoria Stone ceased sometime in the 1980's, upon or around the time of Dr. Iimori's death.  As far as anyone knows or can find out, Dr. Iimori was the only person to ever know the formula, and it was lost with his passing. Others have spent thousands of dollars and tried in vain to reproduce this spellbinding legendary gemstone. Alas, all that is left to the world is what was purchased and produced 20-35 years ago.

In your possession will be a portion of lapidary history and legend; an investment with the potential to become
priceless--a truly peerless, one-of-it's-kind, awe-inspiring gemstone rarity.

 Chrysoberyl Victoria Stone
The flash in this stone is unmatched.  In your hands the effect is 3 dimensional.  Whether you see flowers blooming, birds flying, or the heavens opening - that will all be up to the lucky owner of this masterpiece.  The beauty of this stone is accented by a fabulous sculpt in both 14k gold filled and argentium sterling silver.  Awesome!
Size 1  1/4"  X  2  5/8"

Black Ebony Victoria Stone
For me,  this stone brings to mind the Garden of Gethsemane - where Jesus prayed his last prayers on this earth before He allowed himself to be the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins.  A mesmerizing stone, the deep contrast of blacks and grays in this stone are not evident in the picture.
Size  3/4"  X  2  3/8"

Jasper
Jasper is a common name given to many varieties of natural gemstones.  The name Jasper is typically expanded upon depending either on the origin of the stone or the color formation.  It is rare to find a solid colored jasper gemstone because most are infused with numerous colors, banding, stripes and in sine cases, even spots (typically referred to as 'orbs' or 'eggs'.  The bands, stripes and orbs are formed from a high concentration of other minerals that are infused into the rocks over long periods of time.

The name "jasper" is of Greek origin meaning "spotted stone."  Jasper is mentioned in the bible as one of the precious gemstones adorned to the breast plate of the high priest during the Exodus and it is also mentioned in other chapters of the bible.  In the Book of Revelation (21:11), the new Jerusalem descending from heaven is described as follows: "It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal."

Jasper is found in a number of countries, most notably Egypt, South Africa, India, Madagascar, Kazakhstan, Uruguay, Australia, the USSR, Brazil, Canada, and the United States.

Tahoma Jasper
Here is a  top quality jasper from the slopes of Mt. Rainier in Washington state. The local American Indian name for that same mountain is Tahoma, which translates roughly to 'next to heaven', and it is considered to be a sacred place. The sculpt on this stone is simply spectacular as well (if I do say so myself) which accents the colors in the stone with a two tone effect.  Simply stunning!
Size 1  1/4"  X  3"

Agate
Agate is a variety of chalcedony, which is a form of quartz, and is often used as semiprecious gemstones for jewelry.  Much like Jasper - there are dozens of varieties of Agate - and they are all named based on either their location or relating to the formation of the stone. Agate was one of the 12 stones in the priest's breastplate in the Old Testament, and is also one of the foundational stones mentioned in Revelations.   I use many varieties of Agate in my creations.
Fire Agate
Origin: Mexico
First of all - this picture does not do this incredible stone justice.  I have always wanted to sculpt a fire agate - and this is one lovely specimen.  Fire agate are botryoidal gems and display brilliant flashes of color and the surface is, well, bumpy.  It is a really cool and rare stone and although I do not typically subscribe to the "energies" emitted by natural stones - this one does have a certain energy about it.  It is a beauty.

Druzy
Sometimes tiny quartz crystals form within or on top of an stone when water carrying silica is forced into the stone's bed.  The word "druzy" refers to this fine layer of miniature crystals filling a cavity or coating a matrix.  Many times stones with druzy layerings are treated in such a way to magnify the beauty of the drusy.    Many people think of drusy in relation to geodes - but they also form on agates and other stones like brazilian shadow agates, chrysocolla, ocean jasper, botswana agate, amethyst and rhodochrosite - among many others.  The best thing about druzy - they are absolutely amazing girls!!

Marra Mamba Tigereye / Pietersite
Marra Mamba is a type of Tiger-eye that is found in the Pilbara region of Australia. The most popular area is near Mount Brockman. This area is reported to be mostly mined out at present. True Marra Mamba Tiger-eye is a combination of reds, blues, greens and a yellowish golden color. Marra Mamba is enclosed in an attractive jasperlite host rock, through which a lace-work of Hematite banding occurs together with splashes of iron pyrite, giving the stone its unique chatoyant characteristics.

Pietersite is a fascinating stone and is one of my favorites.  It was discovered by Sid Pieters in 1962 in Namibia, Africa. While Pietersite has the lovely chatoyancy of tiger eye, it is not found in continuously structured bands or fibers, more in swirls, swathes and segments that often appear as bold paint strokes.  Colors include various blues, golds and reds, that may appear together or alone. Blue is the rarest color, followed by red. (see a gorgeous blue pietersite on my Silver Pendants page).  All  color variations will have a superb and striking chatoyancy, the bright and subtly changing shimmer of color that moves along the surface of a gemstone as it is viewed from varying angles.
