Rope Twist weave makes a beautifully tailored handwoven chain. Complete your look with a full necklace, earring and bracelet set! Lobster clasp closure.
I make this weave in 3 different diameters, noted on my main page as delicate, standard and substantial diameters. Don’t be worried about the weight of the substantial diameter chains, they are not heavy (unless you are particularly sensitive to thicker chains!).
It is difficult to show the diameter of a chain in a picture, so here is a guide on this weave to help you:
Delicate diameter – generally slightly smaller than a standard #2 pencil
Standard diameter – approximately the width of a standard #2 pencil
Substantial diameter – slightly larger than the width of a standard #2 pencil
Taking a wrist measurement
For a perfect fit, measure your wrist at its broadest point – which means you should measure AT the place where your wrist bone is. This allows your bracelet to comfortably move either above or below your wrist bone.
Using a flexible tape measure, place it around your wrist at the place where your wrist bone is.
If you don't have a tape measure handy, use a strip of paper or thin string, and mark it where it overlaps on your wrist. Then lay the strip flat to measure up to the mark using any ruler.
This is the measurement you should give me. I then adjust the size of the bracelet based on whether you like a snug, standard or loose fit.
Measuring your wrist properly is key to getting the perfect fit.
